Bringing your new puppy home

Bringing your new puppy home is a big environmental change for them. There may be some crying, whining, whimpering for the first couple nights, as this is their first time away from their mother and littermates.

  1. Your puppy has been doing great with potty training as we start in our home at 3.5 weeks.

  2. We introduce kennels at 5 weeks so they have a small idea as to what it is.

  3. We also recommend taking your puppy out every 15-30 minutes as they have small bladders. A schedule would be kind of like down below.

  • Wake up

  • Potty

  • Eat

  • Potty

  • Play

  • Potty

  • Eat

    — you get the idea :)

Things to help battle the puppy blues when you first bring them home-

  1. A snuggle puppy

  2. Keeping puppy close to you at night in bed

    (A Kennel Is Recommended)

  3. A blankie from home with their moms scent on it.

  4. A lot of treats

In the outside world beyond your house and mine there are the unknowns of disease, ticks, and fleas etc, that can harm your puppy if they are not vaccinated completely. We recommend letting your puppy play with other pets after they have been completely vaccinated which is around 16-20 weeks old.
